Oreo and Google have teamed up for an out-of-this-world dunk challenge, combining the popular cookies with the popular search engine.

The Oreo Dunk Challenge campaign launched earlier this month with a trio of high-profile dunkers: Christina Aguilera, Shaquille O’Neal and Brazilian football star Neymar da Silva Santo, Jr.

For the Oreo Space Dunk Challenge, fans scan an Oreo on a mobile device and the app converts it to a digital version. Google Earth then launches it into to the stratosphere before it returns, landing or dunking into a glass of milk in a location somewhere in the world, revealed by Google Street View.

The Oreo Space Dunk launched this week in the US and will roll out internationally. The mobile site was created Google’s ZOO team. Users can share an image of their Oreo cookie’s journey and distance on social media, with the chance to win a Wonderfilled VIP dunking experience in New York or Los Angeles using hashtag .

“OREO sees the world with childlike wonder and our iconic dunking ritual is the purest articulation of that vision,” said Justin Parnell, Oreo Global Brand Director, in a press release. “We’re thrilled to inspire fans to dunk OREO cookies on a global scale and inspire more moments of play and wonder around the world.”

“Dunking has been in my DNA for years,” said O’Neal, “but it goes beyond basketball. I’ve always loved dunking my OREO cookies in milk—it makes me feel like a kid like no other snack or treat, which is why I was excited to join the OREO Dunk Challenge. Being able to kick off the campaign by doing my first-ever dunk without using hands will always be a great memory for me.”

Aguilera agrees. “I’m so excited to join the OREO Dunk Challenge. Dunking OREO cookies was a part of my childhood and I am excited to join Shaq and Neymar in this campaign! I can’t wait to hear of all the different dunks fans will come up with.”
