  1. The ability of a machine or computer program to reason and/or act like a human.
    • Common characteristics that set AI apart from other computer programs include the ability to interpret diverse inputs, think about them flexibly, and take appropriate actions.
  2. A machine or computer program that exhibits the ability to reason and/or act like a human.
  3. The broad array of computing technologies, such as machine learning or natural language processing, that contribute to a computer’s ability to reason and/or respond like a human. Sometimes called “artificial intelligence technologies.”
