Without any contributions from this week's number one film, Alice in Wonderland, the five-way tie stands for yet another week. To be in March with no clear leader is unprecedented in the decade that brandcameo has been tracking films.
Even the five tied for the lead position stand only one appearance above 2010’s 66 other brands. A big opening next week from either Remember Me or Green Zone could easily end the stalemate; it could also create a six- or seven- or even eight-way tie. If the Number One is the former, we know that Pepsi, the 2004 Product Placement Awards winner, will get its first placement of the year. As the latter, Green Zone, is set in Iraq during hostilities, it’s anyone’s guess what we might end up with.
