As promised last month, Sean Parker and Shawn Fanning's Airtime has gone live, with the tagline "Create shared experiences with the people you know, and the people you want to know." The social video chat service from Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker is officially on the air, launching at a New York press conference with Jim Carrey, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, Ed Helms, Joe McHale, Jimmy Fallon, Olivia Munn, Alicia Keys and Snoop Dogg in attendance.Continue reading...

Viral Video Watch: Star Wars Fans Invited to Use the Force to Stand Up 2 Cancer

Celebrating the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray, George Lucas via his Lucasfilm studio is collaborating with the non-profit Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) on the aptly titled "Use The Force For Good." Of course, "good" means driving donations to the Stand Up To Cancer website, where all proceeds go to cancer research.

Any celebrities promoting this? Only Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Jaime King, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Emma Stone and even Star Wars alum Samuel L. Jackson. In the video, they each "Use the Force for Good" as they reenact classic Star Wars scenes to raise awareness, and funds, for cancer research.Continue reading...

Thailand Suffers PR Hangover, Banning Tattoos

The Hangover 2 was responsible for the most profitable Memorial Day box office of all time. Globally, the film has already earned nearly $200 million after less than a week.

Thailand, where the film is set, isn't laughing though. Jaunted points out that, in addition to the film's portrayal of Bangkok as a crime-infested armpit that swallows people up, the cast has been badmouthing Thailand during its press junkets.

Ed Helms complained of food poisoning. Justin Bartha, his co-star, said he "saw some dirty sh*t in Thailand that got burned into my eyes." Thailand, meanwhile, isn't helping its cause by declaring a bizarre values war on foreigners.Continue reading...
