Can Anna Sui Give FitFlop A Style Makeover?

Posted by Sara Zucker on October 26, 2009 04:07 PM

Anna Sui may have finished up a collaboration with Target. But it seems that she is just getting started lending a hand to many a brand; she just signed on to create a limited-edition boot for FitFlop, the shoes that give you a workout while you walk.

The limited edition Shakoha boot comes in three colors of black, brown, and blue, and will be available exclusively in the US and UK on Net-A-Porter.com starting November 10.

“Anna is a genius who - with her boundary-free design - has reinvented fashion, and we, with our biomechanical take on how your shoes should re-energize your body, are reinventing footwear”, says FitFlop Founder Marcia Kilgore.

Miss Kilgore may be exaggerating the benefits of her creation, but taking on the talents of the designer is definitely a step in the right direction in terms of style. FitFlops have never been known for their chic structures or on-trend styles.

Sui's creation does a great job of disguising their signature curved sole. But one has to wonder, will you wear it for its benefits, or for the name of its designer?
