The fashion world is abuzz with the news that Forever 21 has extended its brand to include a seasonal fashion-beauty-lifestyle magazine.
Slated to launch next week, Nitrolicious reported that Forever 21's main goal is "to reinforce their belief that anyone can achieve a high-end look, no matter what the budget – which has become even more essential today in these tough economic times.
Each issue will include two to three features, as well as a fashion gallery of looks with styling tips, trend coverage (keeping availability at Forever 21 in the forefront), street style, beauty tutorials, books/art/music reviews, coverage of brand collaborations, and VIP interviews. The magazine will be available as a gift with a purchase of $40 or more in all Forever 21 stores nationwide, and can be viewed for free on the company's website.
The debut issue is expected to be in bags on November 20, 2009, and will be available online by November 23, 2009. It launches with a bang, announcing a t-shirt collaboration with a surprise celebrity. Other features include a peek into Forever 21's recently-launched Love & Beauty cosmetic collection, interviews with five well-known fashion bloggers, and editorials with up-and-coming models Georgie of Muse NYC and Jonathan Waud, runner-up on season 2 of Bravo’s Make Me a Supermodel.
The second issue will hit stores and web around March 1, 2010. Subsequent issues will roll out every three months. The brand plans to distribute the magazine internationally to store locations in Korea and Japan.
Since Forever 21 the brand is financially backing Forever 21 the magazine, which will help the magazine avoid a demise suffered by so many other titles.
