As with everything in America now, the success or failure of Black Friday will be determined by Twitter.*

#HappyBlackFriday and #FollowFriday are trending! A lot of the Twitter action is from small retailers trying to make sure they are not forgotten in the rush to the highly-pubicized Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy deals:

For smaller brands, all of that work throughout the year, building a Twitter following can really pay off now in the form of motivating and educating shoppers about your own Black Friday offerings.
