Lady Gaga And Brands Find True Love In "Bad Romance"

Posted by Jennifer Wright on December 16, 2009 04:04 PM

Given the abundance of brands in Lady Gaga’s videos, it would appear that certain companies have special access to the fame monster. Lady Gaga has always had a bit of a flirtation going with advertisers -- in the past Companies like Campari and Bwin.com have been prominently featured in her videos. However, her latest Bad Romance video indicates that the pop star's dalliances with brands has turned into a full-blown love affair.

According to the Los Angeles Times the video features:

"A black iPod; Philippe Starck Parrot wireless speakers; Nemiroff vodka; Gaga-designed Heartbeats earphones (via Dr. Dre); Carrera sunglasses; Nintendo Wii handsets; Hewlett-Packard Envy computers; a Burberry coat; those crazy, hobbling Alexander McQueen hyper-heels; and enough La Perla lingerie to choke an ox."

Given the content of the video -- lady Gaga being forced fed vodka, and then sold into white slavery -- it may not reflect the brands in the best possible light. Still, the brands certainly don't detract from the video, which isn't particularly different from any other music video by Lady Gaga. The merging of the two may be a little surprising, but it doesn’t seem to be bad for anyone.
