As you peruse the Web and contemplate brands' digital presence, ponder Nicholas Carr (author, The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains), above, on how Web surfing rewires our brains. Brandchannel reader Tom Snyder comments on Sheila Shayon's recent story, ever so slightly tongue in cheek: "This is so true. I find myself looking at menus at restaurants and wanting to enter keywords to search for. The kinds of questions that used come up in conversations as rhetorical now have me digging for my Droid. And I've totally lost my ability to delay gratification. Damn you Internet! Look what you've done to me."
