Cadbury Goes Wild, Gets Its Game On

While we're on the theme of saving wildlife, Saatchi & Saatchi's Johannesburg P.R. agency sent us a peek at their latest campaign: a TV spot in South Africa for Cadbury's chocolate. The brief was "to make people feel the same joy they experience when they eat Cadbury Dairy Milk," says S&S creative director Adam Wittert. It does just that (and also reminds us of this classic TV moment) although the gorilla's emoting still rocks. Check out Cadbury's new nature-loving (Olympian) spot after the jump.

Cadbury's new campaign in the U.K. is titled Spots v. Stripes in a competitive nod to becoming "official treat provider" for the London 2012 Olympics:

Re UK effort, oh dear. Alot of money spent on the fish ad but how many people will get it? And why spots v. stripes? Connection with the Olympics? How about 'Compete for a Treat' instead (copyright Joe Bloggs). So like the ostrich in the SA add, I don't think the UK ads are going to fly..

Its not a bad ad but there is still nothing that goes past a Gorilla playing the drums to Phil Collins... plus I can be sure that the latter had a significantly better ROI...
