Target has been teasing its fall fashion show taking place tonight in New York with a series of videos and ads across local websites and a Twitter feed.
It's taking over all the rooms on one side of the Standard Hotel, where 66 dancers will debut its fall collection with a Rear Window-style free show for the public. For those not in New York, the event is being streamed at 9pm ET on Target's Facebook page.
The design-centric retailer today announced healthy second quarter results, including gaining "some market share" against competitor Wal-Mart, reports the Wall Street Journal. "Target's efforts to recapture its footing include boosting its 'cheap chic' profile with sales of higher-margin discretionary items," notes the WSJ.
"Still, business has been a push-and-pull over consumers who have seemingly alternated between Target and ultra-discount giant Wal-Mart, depending on the outlook for the economy. For now, Target has been the better performer again."
Take a peek at tonight's performers (which Target no doubt hopes doesn't include gay rights activists and protesters) after the jump.
