Samsung Goes Viral for Galaxy

To promote its "Be your own style" tagline for its Galaxy smartphone, Samsung UK's new viral video features a flash mob. Its non-branded title ("Cute girl has a catchy dance") doesn't tip off the fact that it's a professional commercial shot by (appropriately) The Viral Factory. Check out US viral marketing for the Galaxy S after the jump.

By the way, re-watch the spot above but follow the kids behind the little girls with the balloon, and keep an eye on the sky behind her.

In America, Samsung and AT&T have been promoting the Galaxy S model with consumer endorsements, while Sprint is promoting its Epic 4G Galaxy smartphone with a spot touting "cinema-quality entertainment in the palm of your hand":

If this was simply posted on YouTube it would be lost in the crowd and it's down to sheer luck for it to go viral. The marketing behind the video to get it noticed by websites like this one is the really clever bit - although not as cute.
