The Burger King Kinects with Gamers — But Can He Overrule the McRib?

Posted by Shirley Brady on November 1, 2010 04:53 PM

BK today kicked off its coast-to-coast bus tour in New York, taking its Burger King mascot on the road to help the restaurant chain in its goal to give away "one Xbox 360 Kinect every 15 minutes" this month. That's 2,600 Kinect for Xbox 360 prize packs.

As it attempts to break through commercial clutter (including finding new and compelling ways to build brand awareness), it's dropping Twitter clues (such as this) to meet up with its mobile tour to score a prize pack. Fans are also invited to follow along on Tumblr, Flickr, Facebook, Foursquare, StickyBits, and YouTube.

It may not distract America's burger-lovers from fixating on the McRib, but it will likely lure gamers to Kinect. Watch a NYC giveaway after the jump.
