PepsiCo Highlights Sustainability Efforts

Posted by Shirley Brady on February 1, 2011 03:00 PM

In a corporate video released today, PepsiCo updates its progress on environmental sustainability.

It focuses on the four areas it has identified as "critical to its long-term success" and where its performance with purpose philosophy can make the biggest impact: water, climate change, packaging, and agriculture. Warning: it sounds like a corporate video, but it's well worth the six minutes.

Not covered: its efforts around human sustainability, talent sustainability, sourcing sustainability, or its foundation, which oversees its Pepsi Refresh crowdsourced philanthropic efforts.

it would be interesting to share medical research on the long term effect of pepsi on our health, industrial sugars, plastic bottles, co2 emisisons, global warming sahres etc...  ... the day when the effect will be positive also on what they call "the consumer", which is in fact .. us, then Pepsi will discover a new era of possibilities.

Awesome 20% water reduction - stop selling bottles water then or is that too profitable and thus overrides sustainability?
