Sam Adams Makes Sure Men Get Their Valentine Love Too

Valentine’s Day mostly seems to be about making women happy, but what about letting men feel the love too? Samuel Adams and FromYouFlowers.com want to make it easy with the Hoppy Valentine’s Day gift basket which actually does include flowers (Bavarian Noble hops in a “collectible glass hexagon jar”) along with pint glasses and goodies including cheese, salami, dark chocolate and nuts.

Apparently, the way to a man’s heart really is through his stomach. Beer sold separately.

Go Ahead, Dear, Splurge on the Expensive Bottle

Really want to show your sweetheart how much you love her this Valentine’s Day? How about sharing a $57,000 bottle of wine? That’s the record amount an amateur wine group paid recently for a 237-year-old bottle of vin jaune, made from savagnin grapes, from France's Jura region at a wine festival auction in the town of Arbois. The sale led Bernard Badoz, founder of the annual festival, to say, “Finally, vin jaune has hit the big league,” joining the ranks of more famous wines such as Burgundy and Bordeaux. That’s a sip to be savored with someone you love.

Nottingham Brewery Toasts Royal Wedding with Special Beer

Romantic beer lovers (it’s not all about wine, you know) will no doubt be happy to hear about a special beer that will be brewed to honor the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29. Castle Rock Brewery in Nottingham, England, is planning to make Kiss Me Kate available on tap at Castle Rock's 21 pubs throughout April. Only around 40 barrels will be made, and just 100 bottles will be produced. Head brewer Adrian Redgrove said the pale beer would be "elegant, tasteful and British to the core." No word on whether the beer has received its invitation to the wedding.

Motorhead wine glasses

And, last but not least, nothing says “romance” like Motörhead. Now you can show the metal fan in your life just how much they mean to you with a set of three engraved Motörhead Shiraz glasses encased in a special box, produced by Scandinavian Concessions Management. The group had previously released 1,000 cases of Motörhead Shiraz, which reportedly sold out in a week. Now that is being loud and proud about your love.
