Mos Def changed his name to Yasiin Bey the beginning of 2012. So "spoken word artist Yasiin Bey ... revisit[s] the words of Mohammad Ali, with a helping hand from rapper/actor Mos Def" doesn't make any sense.

Louis Vuitton managed the near impossible: It has created a paper cut-out of Mohammad Ali. The work is a cheap and empty—if beautifully produced—bit of exploitation. It takes Mr. Ali completely out of context and turns him into a Ken Doll. The man's significance transcended boxing and his renowned braggadocio. I suspect it's a good thing that Mr. Ali is too ill to realize how he and his life has been transformed into a tame fantasy—Vuitton turned a magnificent symbol of defiance into a meek house slave serving compulsive consumerism. The print work is even more insulting, and could not be more condescending. Yes, Louis Vuitton has achieve something extraordinary: It turned a great, complex figure of genuine historic importance into a caricature.
