One of advertising’s classic slogans and tourism campaigns, the 42-year-old “Virginia is for Lovers,” is back with its first marketing push in four years. The focus is on families (and, of course, love) in its new commercial, which will run in eight out-of-state markets starting this month.[more]

“Tourism is an instant revenue generator for Virginia and is one of the smartest investments we can make as a Commonwealth,” commented Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell at today’s launch event. “Every corner of our state stands to benefit from increased tourism marketing which brings more visitors to Virginia.
