Philips Lighting and Live Nation have teamed up for Living Light Sessions, a series showcasing up-and-coming artists making music in their own living rooms outfitted with the Philips Hue connected lighting system.

The sessions kick off with Live Nation British band Rudimental performing its single, “Lay It All On Me.”

“Music provides the perfect opportunity for people to create new immersive experiences every day in their homes,” said Scott Martin, CMO, Philips Lighting North America, according to MarketWatch. “Live Nation connects people with music. Philips connects people with light. The timing for our collaboration couldn’t be more right and we want the moments that we create together with these talented, emerging artists to inspire more dynamic experiences in households everywhere.”

The Philips Hue connected lighting system also enables users to adjust the mood with light and color experiences. “We make music that brings together disparate ideas, genres and people,” said Kesi Dryden, co-founder of Rudimental. “Being able to perform our songs in someone’s home and see how the Philips Hue lights responded and impacted the mood was incredible.”

Philips Hue integrates with Apple HomeKit and Works with Nest. Its ecosystem includes Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus, Philips Hue Go, Philips Hue Beyond and Philips Hue Tap.

As the collaboration shows, music, lights and interaction are increasingly requisite for brands and products being invited into our homes.
