Facebook Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Gary Briggs was a guest speaker at Interbrand’s 2017 Best Global Brands Summit in New York, where Facebook—which grew 48% in brand value in the past year to rise to #8 on the list—celebrated breaking into the top 10 most valuable brands in the world this year.
Briggs shared how Facebook approaches brand marketing and the need for speed in a rapidly changing world. That means learning “at a rapid rate” as a marketing organization and having “really good data that you can rely upon to make those decisions and core capabilities to execute on that.”
He also talked about how the company changed its mission this year and what it means to “bring the world closer together” along with the different technologies Facebook is investing in to improve the customer experience.
