With Super Bowl Sunday less than one month away, advertisers are pulling out all stops to influence consumers to spend their money. During the Big Game, while every commercial will focus on spending big, Ally is going to shine a light on saving big for other things that matter most—in an unexpected way.
Ally today announced it’s launching The Ally Big Save, an interactive mobile app that will be premiering to be paid during the 2018 Super Bowl commercials. The social media pitch:
Saving for something that matters a lot to you? Try playing #AllyBigSave during the Big Game on February 4th. Ally is helping a few lucky people get closer to meeting their savings goals.
Augmented Reality technology will transform players’ living rooms into the ultimate dollar drop. Players will be able to see dollar bills falling in their livings rooms and can visualize their savings piling up.
“Savings” are possible as players reach out to grab falling AR dollars, their score will go up in real time. Ally challenges consumers to think about saving at a time when Super Bowl commercials encourage spend.
While it’s creating a game, it also has a serious message and purpose—to help consumers do something bigger with their money and remind them of their savings goals. Ultimate winners will receive a prize to help them reach those goals.
Ally will be promoting the app across its owned-digital properties and social media channels, as well as through exclusive content featuring real customers’ stories (below) and partnerships with celebrities and influencers.
