Kylian Mbappe helps France win against Croatia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup final match
A star is born as Nike congratulates French player Kylian Mbappé, the 19-year-old Paris Saint-German forward who became only the second teenager in history to score in a World Cup final on Sunday as he helped France beat Croatia 4-2. (Adding to his jersey’s second star, Mbappé may be donating his World Cup winnings to charity, and was personally congratulated by Pelé.)

Along with congratulating France, Nike claimed an overall victory in the World Cup over rival adidas. “We had three of the four teams in the semi-finals and then two of our teams made the finals. We’ve been in the game of football for over 20 years, and it’s the first time that we’ve had an all-Nike final,” stated Elliott Hill, Nike President of Consumer and Marketplace.
