brand glossary: content creation

Content creation is the act of forming original content that can range from articles and whitepapers to infographics, photography and art. It can include videos, podcasts and web series, and include “micro content” such as a tweets. It can help a brand distinguish itself, and own a specific topic in the market, by offering its own unique perspective and added value to their customers. Content creation is distinctly different from content curation, the practice of collecting various pieces of content and publishing them with context to a specific topic area.
